The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, HOMAT Group of Schools, Chief Amusa M.T. Olawale, has expressed the commitment of the school to academic excellence and technological advancement of its students.
Alhaji Amusa who doubles as the Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) and that of the Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board (ITHMB), also reiterated adherence to the school’s policy, stressing diligence, discipline, and satisfactory performance for students to earn promotion from one class to the other.
He said that the policies have been the basis of the academic excellence that the school has been recording in its 31 years of existence as an educational institution. The educationist spoke at the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of the schools held at the Megalite Hall, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.
“As a private school, we remain committed to ensuring that our students are well prepared academically and technologically.”
“By 2027, all major examinations will be conducted using Computer-Based Testing (CBT). In preparation for this, we have already introduced CBT assessments for students from JSS 1 to JSS 3. By the time the full transition takes place, our students will already be familiar with the system.”
The school proprietor and educationist further pledged, “We will continue investing in these innovations to ensure that our students receive the very best education possible.”
Stressing the school’s uncompromising stance on character and satisfactory academic performance as basis for promotion, the educationist said while addressing graduands, parents and stakeholders.
“I would also like to emphasise that promotion to the next class in Homat Group of Schools is based on merit strictly. We remain committed to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring that every learner earns promotion through diligence, discipline, and satisfactory performance.
“This policy has contributed significantly to the academic excellence for which our school is known.”
While thanking parents and guardians for their support over the years, the school CEO also pleaded with them to make payment of the children/wards school fees a priority to help the school in further development that will aid the growth of their children.
“As we prepare for another academic session, I encourage parents to make school fees payment a priority. Prompt payment of fees is essential for school development, provision of learning resources, maintenance of facilities, and the welfare of our hardworking staff.
“Your cooperation in this regard will enable the school to continue delivering quality educational services.”
Alhaji Amusa also reiterated the commitment of the school to reward parents for timely payment and give reduction in fees to those with more than two children in the school.
As part of the school’s welfare initiative for staff, students and their parents, the school owner also announced health insurance scheme and urged interested families to take advantage.
“In line with our commitment to supporting families, I wish to remind parents that discounts on prompt payment of fees and for families with more than two wards in the school are still available in accordance with the school’s policy.”
“I am equally delighted to inform parents and learners that the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme is available to both learners and parents at the government approved rate. We encourage all families to take advantage of this initiative which provides access to quality healthcare services and promotes the well -being of our school community,” he said.
While announcing that HOMAT Group of Schools will be organising holiday coaching to engage their students and prepare them for the next session, Alhaji Amusa also stated that admission is opened for new entrants into the school.
“I am pleased to announce that our Holiday Coaching Programme will commence on Monday, 3rd August, 2026, and end on Friday. 28th August, 2026. We encourage our learners to participate actively in this programme to strengthen their academic performance and prepare them adequately for future challenges.”
“Furthermore, admission into our various classes remains open. The Entrance Examinations for prospective pupils and students will be conducted for two hours every first and third Friday of the month between 9:00 am. and 1:00 p.m.
